SUMMARY
Symeon was sent to Kibossa by the emperor Constantine IV Pogonatos ca. 682, in order to put a stop to the Paulician Constantine-Silouanos's teaching. While interrogation of the Paulicians, Symeon was influenced by their faith and was converted to it. After three years in Constantinople, he returned to Kibossa ca. 685, succeeded Constantine as the teacher of the Paulicians and renamed himself Titos. He was burned to death ca. 688. |
